There is a vacuum tube which can  effectively prevent overflow by leading back the excess product to the vacuum chamber inside the sleeve. The liquid level of the vessel is determined by the depth of the vacuum port within the neck of the vessel. Therefore whether the vessel  is consistent the liquid level will be the same.
